MORE ABOUT US
At Sydney Aesthetic Smiles and Skin we take pride in excellence in care and value for money.
We utilize high tech materials and equipment and follow principals of Minimally Invasive Dentistry which means the preservation of as much tooth structure as possible (less drilling) and most often also means significant cost savings.
The three main disorders seen in the mouth are:
The control of these disorders is essential for oral health. Of great importance, gum disease is linked to many systemic illnesses.
At Sydney Aesthetic Smiles we also believe that how comfortable we are with our smile is important to our overall wellbeing
In order to harmonise a smile we look at:
- Gum: colour, contour and height as well as
- Tooth: shape, size, position and colour
- In order to balance a face we also look at Facial Proportions
- Here we use the Golden Rule
HIGH TECH EQUIPMENT
Hoya Con Bio Erbium: Yag Laser
This is an all-tissue laser which enables the performance of advanced treatments in periodontics, endodontics, prosthodontics and paediatrics. This laser can be used for caries removal, bone removal and soft tissue treatment without producing heat to reduce postoperative discomfort and provide safer, simpler treatments.
Seiler Microscope Evolution XR6
An indispensable piece of equipment, this revolutionary microscope is the ideal accompaniment to intricate dental work involving the diagnosis and treatment of dental procedures such as root canal therapy.
Vatech Pax Duo Panorex & Cone Beam (2D & 3D Digital Xrays)
This remarkable low dose radiographic diagnostic tool is particularly useful for treatments such as implants, endodontics, orthodontics and extractions.
KaVo Diagnostic Diode Laser
This laser is the perfect way to validate findings in the dental diagnosis of caries.
Biotek Ozone Generator
Biotek’s ozone generator applies advanced electrolysis technology, producing high purity ozone. This water disinfection product greatly improves our quality of patient care and hygiene.
Motorised Root Canal Handpieces
These electronically powered handpieces offer increased accuracy so fewer xrays are required. Root Canal procedures can be more comfortable and significantly shorter.
HIGH TECH MATERIALS
Nano composites are leading the evolution in dental restorative materials. Their chemical and mechanical properties provide many advantages such as greater:
- Stress absorption
- Longevity (wear resistant)
- Bond strength
- Flexural strength
- Translucency and polishability, smoothness and precision of shade characterisation for superior aesthetic quality
This super strong non-metal material is becoming one of the most chosen materials for dental crowns. This aesthetically advantageous, extraordinarily tough material is also biocompatible and therefore safe to stay in your mouth for a very long time.
Super strong Titanium alloys for Dental Mini Implants
A dental implant is a rod made of super-strong Titanium alloy. Two of the greatest benefits of Titanium are its biocompatibility (allowing it to effectively integrate into bone) and corrosion resistance. It is also incredibly durable and long-lasting, is lightweight, flexible, non-toxic and cost efficient making it ideal for successful dental implantation.
Super high strength fibres such as S-Plans fibres & Ultra High Molecular Weight Poly Ethylene
These are used to provide extra strength, toughness and stiffness where needed, for example:
- When joining loose teeth
- In root canalled teeth
- With composite bridges
Ozonated Solutions (O3)
Ozone (O3) is an oxidant and is also referred to as an oxidizer. An oxidizer adds an oxygen atom to the compound being oxidised. Pathogens such as bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites are vulnerable to oxidants. An oxidant will destroy the pathogen, resulting in a disinfecting or sterilising effect. This is essential for the treatment of dental pathology and the sterilisation and decontamination of associated oral tissues and procedures.
